The WDS SL 60 Sliding System is a smart choice for spaces where you need large glazed sliding doors or windows, such as terraces, loggias, balconies or unheated rooms. Its profile depth (60/106 mm) gives a compact frame yet allows for big sliding panels. The system supports leaf sizes up to around 1600 × 2300 mm, and can be used in openings up to approximately 3 500 mm wide when multiple sliding leaves are combined.
The design accommodates up to four movable leaves, or combinations of movable and fixed leaves, giving flexibility depending on the opening size and how much of it you want to slide open versus fixed. For example, a two-leaf sliding setup, a three-leaf all sliding version, or a four-leaf mix of two fixed and two sliding leaves are all possible.
Because it's used for large dimensions, the system includes features to make operation smooth: large rollers and aluminium tracks ensure the heavy leaves slide easily. The incorporation of built-in mosquito screens and brush seals help block insects, dust and rain from entering—improving comfort especially in semi-outdoor zones.
From a design perspective, the system offers a wide palette of laminate colours and finish options, enabling it to match facades or interiors seamlessly. While it’s intended for less thermally demanding spaces (unheated rooms) it still delivers a strong balance of performance and style, making it suitable for spacious openings where full thermal glazing may not be required.
For installation and marketing, focus on how this system transforms an opening into a wide, seamless view, yet remains practical, reliable and flexible. The sliding nature preserves interior space, and even heavy panels can be operated smoothly. The built-in mosquito screen and good sealing mean the system works well for balconies or terraces where you want occasional open access but also protection when closed.
