An aluminium sliding system with a 70 mm frame for enclosing terraces, galleries and porches. The sashes run on tracks, take no room when opened and let all the light through — the usual answer when the opening is wide and there is no space for casements.
No thermal break. It keeps out wind, rain and dust, but it does not insulate: its transmittance is Uw 3.9 W/m²K. We do not recommend it for heated rooms — our PVC and thermally broken aluminium series are for that.

Grupo ALUGOM's Silver 70 is an aluminium sliding system built for enclosures: terraces, galleries, porches and balconies. The 70 mm profile takes glass up to 20 mm and sashes up to 90 kg, so large panes stay square over the years.
It matters to be clear about what this system does and does not do. It closes the space: wind, rain, dust and street noise stop coming in — declared sound reduction is 29 dB. What it does not do is insulate, because aluminium conducts heat and this series has no thermal break. Its Uw is 3.9 W/m²K, two to three times worse than a PVC system.
So we offer it for what it is good at: gaining a room you can use most of the year without major building work. If you want to enclose a heated room, we will tell you to look at another series — it will cost you less on the electricity bill than saving on the enclosure now.
Finished in any RAL colour, with white 9010 and anthracite 7016 the most requested in Alicante.
