A sliding aluminium series for wide openings: the sashes run on tracks and do not intrude into the room when opened. This is the answer when there is a sofa, a table or a terrace railing in front of the window.
We fit it mostly in living rooms opening onto a terrace and in galleries, either with two moving sashes or with one moving sash and a fixed light.
What comes as standard
Declared insulation values (Uw, EN 14351-1 classes) come with the manufacturer's data sheet in your quotation, for your specific configuration.
The W-232 slider solves wide openings where a casement sash will not fit or gets in the way. On delivered jobs we have fitted it at 2,160 mm wide with two sashes and fixed lights, and at 1,030 mm with a moving sash and a side fixed light.
Against a casement window, a slider gains space and gives up a little tightness: the sash does not press against the frame, it slides alongside it. That is why we recommend it for living rooms and terraces, and advise against it on façades very exposed to sea wind, where we prefer a casement from the Abatible series.
It is made to measure and coated in the RAL colour you choose, to match the rest of the joinery. A roll-up insect screen can be fitted — well worth it in Alicante between May and October.
